WILDLIFE NEW & RENEWALS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS by Brent Olson Wildlife Conservation Officer Question: Where will the hot spot be for the opening day of the fishing season? Answer: On the opening day of the general fishing season, several lakes in southern Utah are expected to have good to excellent fishing. These include Panguitch Lake, Minersvillc, Koosharem, Otter Creek, and EnterFish prise Reservoirs. Lake. Navajo Lake, and Kolob Reservoir may still be snowed in for the I opener. One lake would not recommend is Johnson Reservoir below Fish The fish in this Lake. water arc more snakeJohnlike than fish-likson Reservoir is in need S of treatment to remove unwanted trash fish. In the Fillmore area, it is doubtful that any of will the streams be stocked for the Saturday, June 2 opener. The streams are running high and muddy and will not be stocked until the high water is over. However, there should be holdover rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout in Chalk Creek and Corn Creek. My guess for the hot spot for southern Utah is Minersville Reservoir, however, for those going out on the first day, be prepared for large crowds at all of the reservoirs in southern Utah. 13, 1979 at the reg- ular Board of Education Meeting, which will be held at the District Office, Delta.
