Show Fillmore, Utah 84631, Friday, July 21, 1178 Page Milliard County Progress, Our MILLARD COUNTY PROGRESS Published Everv Friday at Fillmore, Utah 84631 By Progress Printing Company Town Susan smu DAY by I st ill cant breathe broken my Although through nose, I breathed a big sigh of relief when the last pictures to go in the new book, Builders of Early Millard" were on their way to the printer. My daughter, Daila, brought my son, Vance, here last week for a visit after he had flown from Montana to Salt Lake City, Tom and Nadine Day came from Ogden to be with us during the weekend. It was a happy time for all of us. Daila, who has helped with the rewriting of the biographies and knew where I wanted the pictures, delivered them in Springville when she and Vance returned to Salt Lake City Saturday. As soon as I can breathe through my nose, I will double cheek on the book. Writing the book has been a rewarding and interesting task. However, it has been very trying. And, since the printer put a deadline on when the book had to be finished, it has kept me from even weeding my garden. I am so ashamed of the weeds, but I kept at my task thinking 1 could soon hoe the weeds once the book was to the printers. Now, since the accident, it hurts my head and every part of my body to even hoe little weeds, let alone get the roots on those tall weeds. 1 will know better than to ever let them get ahead of me again. have planted carrots, beets, and Although parsnips three times. 1 havent any growing in my garden. Vance replanted them again tor me white ne was here and I am trying to keep the seeds damp until they get started. Of course they aren't up yet, as it hasnt been a week since he did it. (1 am writing my You see, 1 would get at my article on Sunday). typewriter and type biographies by the hour and forget to water my newly planted seeds. They might start to sprout, bui these dry hot winds we have had all during June and thus far in July, would dry out the ground in a day and, even though I thought to water the ground in two or three davs, it was too late to save the little sprouts. Most of the original biographies had been written WfU ( V years ago and filed in the State House.
