Topham, Superintendent, Robert L. Steele, Clerk. Minutes of the Board Meeting held September 8, 1976 and Sept. 22, were approved by a motion from . Friday, November 5, 1976 MILLARD COUNTY PROGRESS, Fillmore, Utah AT .Member Harris, seconded by member Frampton and carried unanimously by the Members of the Board. Bills and Financial Statements Payment of bills from check 3853 3120 to inclusive, General Accoi.m check 543 to 544 inclusive, Head Start Account, with Financial reports for each account were approved by a motion from Frampton, seconded by Member Robison and carried unanimously by the Members of the Board. Exhibit 26. ACTIVITIES FOR BOYS AND GIRLS IN THE HIGH SCHOOLS 144th HOSPITAL TO GUARDSMEN COMPLETE BASIC PVTs Jeffery C. Johnson, Mark S. Mundy, Kevin R. Warner, and Scott Dastrup have successfully completed Basic Combat and Advanced Individual. Training at - Fort Knox, Kentucky. Jeff, Mark, and Kevin graduated in gasoline and diesel engines. Scott graduated in supply and logAll four istics management. all recipients of National Guard schloarships to school colleges of their choice. All four graduated in the upper 25 of their respective courses and Mark Mundy received the additional of being the outstanding performer in physical training for his entire company. Jeff, Mark, Kevin and Scott will function in this unit as crewmen on the 155MM SP howitzer. Congratulations to these four men for their outstanding work and dedication in their successful completion of active duty. All will be assets to this Battery and an aid in preserving our reputation as being one of the best Field Artillery Battalions in the United States. post-hig- h SCREEN Jay Dastrup FILLMORE The 144th Evacuation hospital unit, Utah National Guard, will be in Fillmore on November 13th to conduct screening tests. This program is one of Community Service and the following services will be given to citizens of the area free and include: health screening booths for blood pressure, hearing, vision and urinalysis. In addition to these booths, booths will include the Heimlich maneuver (this is what to do when a person is choking) control of resusitation, bleeding, signs of cancer and pediatrics, to include accident prevention control, growth poison chart and immunization. In addition to the screening for citizens, they will also be giving physical and immunizations to members of the local guard unit, Btry C, 2nd Bn 222d FA. Members of the 144th will be flown into Fillmore for the weekend drill, susing the Fillmore airport and the local National' Guard Armory. Rahny was born Nov. 24, 1954 in Fillmore to Ronald B. and Evalo Corry Anderson. Rahny was an active person in this community. She was loved and appreciated by all and will be missed greatly by friends and family. Rahny was the junior class social manager and senior class in high vice president school. She was honored nationally, statewide, and locally with her noted talent in art. She graduated from Millard in 1973 as a high honor student, and was awarded the Daughters of the American. Revolution Award." Good Citizen She attended Stevens Hcnager Business College in S.L.C., graduating in 1974 with honors. She was an outalso awarded achievement standing award in creativity and chairmanship. Rahny and David Dav were married in the Manti Temple August 16, 1974. Their son. Jason Tyler, was born Nov. 22, 1975. Surviving her are her son and husband, Fillmore parents, Fillmore, brothers and sisters. Layna. Cory. Gail and Richard. Bill Wilson 1 PVT. MARK FRAMPTON AT BASIC Pvt. Mark Frampton, taking his basic training at Fort Knox. Ken., achieved one of the four highest scores in aptitude in his company and was given the honor of being accepted into Training School at West Point if lie desired to pursue a military career. Even though he did not accept this honor he was very proud to call his Earl and Carol Parents, and tell them. He has also been made Squad Leader and reports that he is enjoying his basic training.
