The large convention center and restaurant situated at Sweetwater Park near the heating, swimming pool and other buildings, were burned down a few days before the convention, but the Sweetwater people erected a large tent next to the martnas small restaurant and served meals for the group. Helen also noted that there were many groups who were spending some time at the resort. It was fun seeing the blue lake, with the many boats, water skiers, and sail boats cruising on the water.
