Given In March, the results are now available. Louise Bennett discussed the results with the Board to discover how the testing could be used to improve curriculum. The tests covered reading, m ath and language usage. The Principals now have the results of the tests and will be taken to each faculty some time this week. A copy of each childs test scores will be placed In hts permanent record card for use by the students teachers. The district is planning to give this same type of test each spring to all students to get a clearer picture of how well we are achieving in the schools. Mr. Luke discussed with the sixth grade students class scheduling, registration methods, student government, plus dress and behavtor standards. He encouraged the students to begin now to think about the career they will eventually follow, working toward the preparation for It. Teachers who explained their programs to students included: Lena Bushnell, reading specialist; LaRlta Whicker, language arts; Paul Godfrey, math; Rolayne Wilson, p.e.; Lewis Monsen, p.e., and Faye Stephensen, media aid. The first show was held tn 1930. With the except Ion of 1932, the show has run contln jous since that time. When the show first opened in 1930 U was a small event with the FFA sponeorlng the show along with the High School and the Delta Lions Club. Today It Is an undertaking of tremendous proportions. And all these combined efforts have paid off for U Is now recognized throughout the State as one of the outstanding shows. Its exhibitors and buyers come from throughout Utah. The 41st show this year U not Just a happening, It la the years of work of many people, the untiring effort of a group of men and women who worked to make the Millard Counly Junior Livestock show what It Is today.
