STILL EXCITINGLY BEAUTIFUL, CalJeen Robinson McKay, is the mother of three sons and the wife of a successful dentist, Dr. William McKay. Again, maybe she’s a grandmother with a seemingly bottomless cookie jar. © 5 And whatis a celebration without a queen?- Asfor beauties, American Fork has had its, share of them, blondes, brunette and titian haired. A choice honor came to: American Fork in 1947 when one of: her: most charming daughters’. was chosen Utah Centennial Queen. ‘Not-only did Utah people take beauteous Cal- WELL-KNOWN RESIDENT of American Fork, Miss Mary Pulley is shown today as she busies herself with her duties as Acting Superintendent at American Fork Training School. NOW QUEEN in her own home is Mrs. Dale Miller, a former Steel Days Queen of 1947, shown above in a picture of that glad time and, right, as she appears with her children, Kristine, Maury, Vicki dnd small Tony. REIGNING AS A QUEEN in American Fork currently is Denise Argyle, Steel Days Queen, who is preparing her wedding dress and veil for a June wedding. The smaller picture shows her as she donned robe and crown at the beginning of her reign. O771E1L *SUNDAY, APRIL 30, 196/ leen Robinsonto their hearts but she came into prominence throughout the nation in newspaper and magazines as well.. Her mother, Mrs. Marion C. Robinson, fashioned the gown Calleen wore in the finals, sewing hundredsofbrilliants by hand to pick up the motifs of the brocaded white silk. Calleen had graduated from high school here and was ate tending the University of Utah. NowMrs. William McKay, she is living in Los Angeles where Dr. MeKayis a specialist in anesthesiology. They have three sons, Bill, Roger and David. They have moved 15 times during’ Dr. McKay’s Air Force traveling as a flight surgeon, pilot and anesthesiologist. Calleén was very busy during their stay at Ramey Air Force Base in Puerto Rico. Besides being active in PTA, Gray Lady, nurse’s aide and modeling she was active in theater groups on the ‘base and apspeared in numerous plays. » Since moving to California she has been busily involved as team mother » when. the boys were in Little League , and her husband a team coach. Besides transporting her sons to rehearsals, music lessons, baseball and church, she finds time to model for (Continued on Page. 2-A) |
