| Show PERRY PERRY JULY 26 we certainly had a good old fashioned celebration on monday under the auspices of tho the sunday school we had a bowery built in in the grove on the school lot and at day break the program was begun by the firing of dynamite old glory was hoisted at sunrise and at it 11 a in a fine pro program gram was given which lasted until 1230 lion hon J D peters of 0 brigham gave us a very interesting talk showing some of the labors of the pioneers and the causes which led up to the mormons cormons bein being driven from civilization ile he also treated the trav travels els of the mormon Dat Battal tallIon llon and showed the good that came from what at first sight appeared to be a calamity he was listened to with strict attention from start to finish and we all enjoyed and ampro appreciate his effort atter after the program a dance for the little folks was as la in order which lasted until 2 p in when tire the outdoor games commenced races tracker cracker eating contests diving for oranges hobble ikirt caces and jumping in sacks with itil swings galore and lea ice cream and len leal candy etc served to keep the crowd cool and interested until 5 when nhen a ball game was played between the married and single men ending 7 to 6 in favor ot or the latter there was also iso blue rock shoo shooting and the days festivities ended with a big dance in ili the evening Every everybody Lody voted it a delightful time thanks to the tired overworked over worked committee on the ar th the town held in an election and voted toted on tho the question ot of loading for a water works system which resulted in 31 to 7 voting in favor of u the proposition last week mrs L woodward M A IL liddle and L A walker ot of salt lake lak came up and spent throe days visiting with james young and family last saturday J G watt and A N wight and fa fam miles lles from thatcher were over visiting their relatives and returned home after spending the with us grain is about all cut calt ani and some gome little Is threshed |
