W llliams noted that EPA has approv ed 10 air permits for coal-fireplants since 1977 in federal Region Eight, which includes Utah. Colorado. Montana. The power plant is being developed by Six rural electric associations m Utah Wyoming and Nevada It would burn coal mined in eastern Colorado and create 600 coal mining jobs and 100 peimanent jobs near Vernal.
