Capt. Baker, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints, will be talking on this at the Centerville (Ith Ward Sacrament meeting, Sunday at 3 p.m. Capt. Baker bases his beliefs on the fact that the Murchinson meteorite, which he received a portion of in 1971, contains all the needed amino acids necessary for life and 17 fatty acids. This, Capt. Baker says, is proof that life exists on other planets. Somewhere in the universe, Capt. Baker believes a planet conquered the aging process and one man became immortal. That man became the God we worship, he believes. He Admits Its Unusual Capt. Baker admits the idea sounds cray to most people. However, he said, we are right now conquering the aging process here on earth and have reached a stage in earths evolution where, we have not only put men on the moon, but have put a car up there for them to drive. He feels it is not hard to believe tiff that life on another planet could have reached a highly advanced stage of technology. Capt. Baker believes this ties in with the teachings of the Mormons founder Joseph Smith, who on April 6, 1844, gave an address, which Capt. Baker said told of God living on an earth and perfecting that earth and others so the inhabitants of those planets could evolve intellectually. N.Y., told Jehovahs Witnesses gathered at the Dee Events Center here, the end of this system of things is at hand and soon God will intervene in human affairs to bring peace and harmony to the world. ; , Geographical Discovery Since the find of the Murchison meteorite, another meteorite has been discovered at the South Pole. That meteorite also contains the essentials to life, giving what Capt. Baker believes is the second proof that life is prevalent throughout space. will serve as master of ceremonies. Mayor Ted. L. Wilson will give the welcoming address and Gov. Scott M. Matheson will address the group. Bishop Federal will also give a few remarks. Honored guests in attendance include Bishop Federals three sisters and a nephew; representatives of the major faiths in Salt Lake City; the Most Rev. John Brown, bishop of the Raleigh, N.C., diocese; Sen. Orrin Hatch; Wendell Ashton, publisher of the Deseret News; Fred Ball, president of the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce; and the Most Rev. Herbert Newell, bishop of the Cheyenne, Wyo., diocese. On Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. a special Mass will be held at the Cathedral of the Madeline, followed by a reception. Speaking at the Divine Love trict Convention, Mr. Greenlees stressed this does not mean the end of the world as some are foretelling, but does mean God will bring ruin to those ruining the earth. His action will be controlled. It will not wipe out all mankind completely. It will leave Mr. Greenlees approved survivors, said. Presents Resolution He presented a resolution to the assembly that proclaimed strict neutrality in political affairs by the religious movement worldwide. The eight-poicondemnation of the drift of human society from Gods laws in quest of material pursuits and selfish pleasures was adopted unanimously. Earlier during the convention, Takeshi Mori, Salt Lake City, said love of God and neighbor is lacking in modern society and the present generation is paying the consequences.
