| Show A remarkable well la in the many artesian wells that have been driven in ia this vicinity the varia in volume temperature and ity of the water secured have been numerous fur furnishing s in g in various amounts hot bot cold 0 I 1 d hard soft sn sulphur and other kinds kinda of wata while others produce quite a flow of natural gas perhaps the most remarkable well yet described is one recently sunk in the centre of hooper vine ville north of this city the citizens of adt that place have driven a number of wello wella in that vicinity varying in depth from to feet among others mr henry manning oft of that hat place drove one down about feet which secured him a good tow of water but the changes in this water have been most hobt unaccountable ordinarily the water does not differ materially from froni that on the surface in the vicinity but whenever vie the wind rises the water immediately media toly changes its color to the complexion of milk As the well is situ abed several miles from any large body of water and as it was driven through two other distinct streams at different depths before reaching the present supply mr nanning manning is at a loss loss to know what causes the changes |
