Show .July 9. 1980 Now Clearf ield Courier that the warm summer weather is here to stay the days will seem to go by in a hurry and before we know it the beginning of a new Primary year will be here, and well have only memories of this one. How does the time fly so fast? Without lots of information in great detail working out the new Primary schedule has been a challenge but a very rewarding one. And were happy to report that its all working beautifully now and we love it. The new schedule gives our children more gospel learning experiences. And a way has been worked out for the Primary teachers to attend Relief Society, which we are all excited about. We as a Presidency want to thank our teachers for the patience, understanding and support that they have given to us in implementing the new program. Please circle August 24 on your calendar as a very Sacrament important nselor date. John Ross Relief Society There were 13 sisters who took advantage of our recreation outing in June. We took a most interesting tour of the Deseret Industry. After we saw how the store operated, we ate a delicious lunch from their cafeteria. Thanks to Pam Poorte for arranging such a fun day. Work Day was very stration on how to make cheese, cottage cheese, and yogart. We all got to sample the goodies and they were good. Trudy Rhoades gave the second part of her food budgeting class. She gave us lots of good pointers on shopping. To end the evening a pot luck luncheon was served. All the dishes were to be low cost recipes. They didnt taste low cost though. Everything was delicious. We know summer is a busy time but we would love to have you participate with us. We welcome Jill Higley as Conference of the Clear field Stake a geneology open house was held with the local community and church members invited. Several displays were available along with the new Microfilm Reader which will be used in the Name Extraction Program just getting started in the Stake. Brother David Castle of the Clearfield 9th Ward checks some names from the microfilm on the new reader Sister Lois Nielsen of the 9th ward has completed training and passed the examination and will super vise those persons called to work in the Name Ex traction Program. Names extracted will be submitted to the temple for endowment work. Keith Stephenson and his wife look at one of the displays at the Open House. Brother Stephenson is on the Stake High Council and is the advisor to the High Priest Groups and 's the general supervisor of the geneology activity in the youth Adams. Appetizers were served at the Adams and salad at the Sorensens. Then the troups were treated to spaghetti, garlic bread and root beer at the Rosss followed by ice cream sundaes at the Perkins. Next event for the girls is camp Tuesday through Saturday 15 19 i FOLLOWING A RECENT Stoke Mutual who participated in the progressive dinner on bikes found they could be led astray by Bro. Ross and Bishop Wright who took the long way to the Sorensen residence from the educational again. An outing at Pineview has tentatively been planned as a joint activity for the young men and women on 30 July. ; Iona Adams ' Historical banner created, presented to stake the Clearfield Stake participating in a celebration program for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints Sesquicentennial. Following several activities in which the banner was on display with the other 13 banners, it was presented to President Frank Lombardo, Clearfield Stake President to be displayed in the Stake Office Building. The banner depicts many of the events in history and activities in the church of historical value. The banner was designed and made by the Special Interest and Young Special Interest of the Stake. Sisters Leah Nielsen, Sharon Garner and Lucille Worley represented these two groups in the presentation of the banner to the Stake President.
