Clacrfield Courier, April 9, 1980, Page ( 16 Clearfield troop honors two Eagle scouts Boy Scout Troop 384, sponsored by the Clearfield Police Department, held an Scout Award Eagle Ceremony Wednesday evening ftonor Rex C. McBride, son of Mr. Charles G. McBride of Clearfield and Darrell K. Gronau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin J. Gronau of Sunset. Rex attends Sunset Junior High School and was on the honor roll three times in the seventh grade and twice in the eighth grade. He took first place in the seventh grade science fair and went on to region to win first place there. He played little league football for the Clearfield Recreation Department for three years and won first place the second year. In Scouting, Rex has served Troop 384 in the leadership positions of and is presently first counselor in the Deacons Quorum Presidency. He has also received the On My Honor Award. Darrell Attends Clearfield High School and is on the honor roll. He played sophomore football, soccer, and is a member of the sophomore choir. He played little league baseball for the Sunset Recreation Department for two years. and has camped out 38 days and nights with the troop. He also served as a member of the staff at camp Bartlett, Idaho for one summer. Darrell is a member of the In scouting, Darrell has served Troop 384 in the Leadership positions of Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, Den Chief, and International Instructor. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow and holds the position of ceremonies chief. Darrell has earned the Paul Bunyan award, Boy 12 Skill Scout Lifeguard, 22 Merit Awards, Badges, Order of DeMolay-Clearfiel- d Cahpter and holds the office of Junior Deacon. He is an active member of the Church of Christ of Clearfield. Workman was Ray presented a silver Eagle 10 Skill Awards, Seventh Ward, and has served as second counselor The Doctor the activity for National Library Week at the Davis County Library.
