Ron Boone, who for years, made friends in dozens with Utah basketball fans, is back in Utah again, this time with the Utah Jazz. Tonight he will make his first appearance in Utah as a NBA player as the Jazz take on the New York Knicks at 7:30 in the Salt Palace. Boone was acquired last week from the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for a future draft pick and considerations. Boone, a 2 guard from Idaho State, is one of the most popular athletes to ever play in Utah. He played for the Utah Stars from January of 1971 until the team disbanded in December of 1975. During the course of his eight ABA seasons and his four seasons in the NBA, Ron has never missed a game.
