Deon Anderson spent ten days in Los Cruses, N.M. last month visiting with a sister and her family Ann Jeffers. Mark and Bonnie Jenkins and their sons Steven, David and Ricky went to Smithfield on Sunday for the birthday observance of Mrs. Jenkins mother Rae Pitcher. Bonnie Rae Bassett, 24, wife of Willis Bassett, 26, 490 Miller St., Layton, delivered at 9:20 a.m. Aug. 3, two days after the Birthing Room officially opened. In the room to witness the birth was Mr. Bassett and Mrs. Bassett's parents, Leo B. and Marjorie Collard, Layton. Ogden, Utah 84401 ,T Initial response to the Birthing Room, according to Davis North officials, in i dicates wide interest. The room Is plushly decorated with accent on comfort, and the cost of the room is about 40 per cent less expensive than the delivery room. No medications or IV fluids are administered and, unless complications arise, the baby remains with the parents and their designated "support persons" who witness the birth.
