The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Trussel, 827 N. 50 W., Sunset, Toni also received the talent trophy during the evenings competition. Her attendants are Donita Townley, first attendant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donal Townley, and Dawn Rasmussen, second attendant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Eugene Rasmussen. Selected by the girls for the coveted Miss Congeniality award was Julie Truitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Garrison. During the talent competition, Miss Trussel presented an awesome original fire baton drill. Miss Townley played a piano solo while Miss Rasmussen did a iazz dance routine. Miss Trussel was crowned by the outgoing Miss Clearfield 1978, Blenda Townley, a sister of the new first attendant. The pageant was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Clearfield. Also competing during the pageant were 24 little girls and 9 little boys. Selected by judges as Little Miss Clearfield was Sara Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gardner. Her attendants were Sarah Jean Yardley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary J. Yardley, and Heather Lyn Bennion, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bennion. Curly-haire- d Adam Tyler Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Green, was named Little Mr. Clearfield. First attendant was Ruben Jose Martinez, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben (Ben) Martinez while second attendant was Stuart Charles Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Quinten Miller. Iluh JI Shopping center plans for Sunset presented - Developer Paul Silletti final plans for Commonwealth Square to the members of the Sunset City Council at their last meeting. According to Mr. Silletti construction will begin immediately on the 118,00 0 square foot shopping center and office complex in Sunset along SUNSET presented Main Street. The area is located approximately between the present Tideland Seafood Market and Century 21 Real Estate. At present plans include 32 professional offices, 25 retail shops, four specialty complexes and two restaurants. There will also be 44 office-warehou- homes developed in the back of the proposed development. Council hears liquor request, Starks appoints - CLEARFIELD City officials have given their approval to the owner of a proposed steak house to apply to the state liquor agency for a liquor license. The establishment located on 1700 S. across from the Clearfield Job Corps has the atmosphere of a bar at the present time, according to Police Chief Darren Green. He said, A bar in that area could cause some serious problems but if the owner does receive a liquor license from the state he will be supervised by the liquor agency and will have to comply with their standards for a steak house which will include the removal all facilities that are connected with a bur.
