The selection took place at the of Selling, honoring Utahs top students in Marketing and Distributive Education (DE). An exercise program will be presented by August Wiechmann, director of physical therapy at St. Benedicts Hospital. Mr. Wiechmann said he has selected exercises that will help prevent back problems resulting from weakened abdominal muscles, improve appearance by tightening abdominal muscles and reducing hip measurements, and increase' pep and provide a feeling of class designed to help new will be conducted at St. Benedicts Hospital on Tuesday, February 6. It will be held in the A mothers hospital dining room from 7 to 9 p.m. Purpose of the class is to provide postpartum exercises which will be beneficial to the mother and to answer questions about caring for the new baby. It is recommended that mothers wait from 6 to 8 weeks following childbirth to attend. The class is repeated on the first Tuesday of each month. Fee is $1. Baby care, breast feeding and other aspects of infant care will be par-ticpate- d. The competition was ih two categories, Sales Demonstration and Sales Manager. The purpose of the sales demonstration was to enable the student to put into practice the sales process that was learned as part of the DE classroom instruction. The purpose of the Sales Manager competition was to provide an opportunity for a ' student to demonstrate the ability to organize a persuasive, enthusiastic speech for the sales force while working under a factor; to allow a student experience in thinking and speaking well-bein- g. Welch, of Data Processing at McKay-De- e Hospital Center, has been elected to the board of directors for Information Systems Hospital Sharing Group (HISSG). His term of office is two years. The organization's purpose is to foster and promote better patient care through the use of advanced systems and information processing. Advice, information and services are disseminated to those in the health services field. Headquarter offices for the national organisation are located in Salt Lake City. Seventy-nin- e major groups of hospitals hold membership in HISSG. McKay-De- e Hospital Center has been affiliated with the organisation the past nine years. Mr. Welch will continue to function as board adviser to the Internal Communications Committee, in addition to his responsibilities as board member at large. He was elected recently at the annual meeting in Newport Beach, California, and is scheduled to attend board meetings in Birmingham, Alabama in May and Minneapolis, ISnn. in September.
