In a tersely worded press release dated Jan. 20, the College of Eastern Utah announced that head mens basketball coach Pat Klinger has resigned for personal reasons part way through the season. Assistant coach Bryan Zollinger will head the team for the rest of the season with the of assistance Johnny Blackman, reads. the press release College officials are refusing to release further information about the resignation. But those close to the situation say this is the second time Klinger has apparently been sent packing midway through a basketball season.
