Utah Thursday, August 4, 1994 Realtors association releases state, Carbon Emery statistics -- According to second quarter statistics from the Utah Association of Realtors (UAR), increased sales continue to reflect the states healthy real estate market. For the first time, Utahs average sales price of $114,522 for single-famil- y homes slightly exceeded the national average at $110,600, said Max Thompson, UAR president. However, Utahs average continues to fall below the Western states, and the Salt Lake City metropolitan area is still one of the most affordable in the nation. Utah has managed to maintain a healthy sellers market since the supply of housing in Utah continues to fall behind the high demand. At the local level, the Carbon-EmerBoard of Realtors reported a 9 percent decrease in home sales at an average price of $44,537.90. Central Utah reported a 40 percent decrease in home sales at an average price of $63,606.97, and Grand-SaJuan reported 28 sales during first quarter of 1994, with an y n average sales price of $85,191.07. Since Grand-Sa- n Juan is the newest board of realtors in the state, comparable data for second quarter of 1993 is not available. In northern Utah, the n Board of Brigham-Tremonto- Realtors in Brigham City experienced a 38 percent increase in sales of singlefamily homes in the second quarter of this year versus second quarter 1993. Cache-Ric- h experienced a 22.3 percent increase in homes sales, and the Tooele Board of Realtors reported a 66 percent increase in home sales at an average sales price of $71,202. Greater Ogden saw an 8.7 percent increase in home sales at an average sales price of $90,231 and a 9.3 percent increase in condominium sales at an average price of $65,906. Salt Lake experienced a 26.5 percent increase home sales at in single-famil- y sales an average price of $125,011 versus 1993 figures and a 7.5 percent increase in condominium sales at an average price of $84,890. The Uintah Basin Board of Realtors reported 110 home sales during second quarter, at an average sales price of $62,220.90. Utah County saw a 41.7 percent increase in home sales over second quarter 1993, with an average sales price of $120,739. Park City experienced a 23 percent increase in sales of homes and condiminiums at an average sales price of $279,150 for homes and $200,113 for condominmiums. In southern Utah, Washington County Board of Realtors in St. George exper- ienced a 54.8 percent increase in homes sales first quarter at an average price of $106,437 and reported 31 condominium sales at an average sales price of $93,871.
