Thats not to mention the problems with skunks, bobcats and smaller predators. Several western counties have had rabies epidemics. Skunks are the principle carriers of rabies in the western states. producers. Problems with predators are extensive. There are spotted owls in the Pacific Northwest and Southwest, wolves and grizzly bears in Idaho, Wyoming and Montana, eagles and coyotes all over, an exploding population of mountain lions, which by the way, have led to a dramatic increase of attacks on humans.
