Show 4 SunNe3s 3. 2004 rch Obituaries Thelda Dean Martin Salina, Utah Our kind and be- loved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and sister, Thelda t i i 1 - f , ! - Dean Craw Martin, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 in Monroe, Utah w here she had been residing for the past 2 Vi years, due to poor health from Alzheimer's Disease. Our Mom was bom October 12, 1923 in Minersville, Utah, a daughter of Charles Nelson and Lydia Fem Talbot Craw. She mar-ne- d our dad, Ashton Kirk Martin, June 10, 1946 in the St. George LDS Temple. Dad passed away January 13,2002. Timothy Sanders and Lauren Pinder Kade Wasden and Penni Larsen John and JoAnn Larsen are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Penni, to Kade, son of Richard and Sharee Wadsen, in the Manti Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints on Saturday, March 6, 2004. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 9 p.m. in the Holden Church, 100 N 100E Holden, Utah. All family and friends are invited. The grandparents of Penni are Dean and Connie Larsen of Holden, and Elma Wade of Fillmore. The grandparents of Kade are Thad and Valna Wasden of Aurora, and Clem and Charlette Timothy Kent Sanders and Lauren Marie Pinder were married in the St. George Templeof the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints on February 28, 2004. The parents of the couple, Jim and Suzanne Sanders and George and Christine Pinder held a luncheon for he couple in the Social Hall in St. George. A reception will be held in their honor at the home of the bride's parents in San Francisco on March 20, 2004. 7-- and always had beautiful flowers and gardens. She was a avid fisherman and loved to fish. Mom is survived by her three children: Charles "Chuck" and Sarah Martin of East Carbon, Utah; Barney of Richfield. The newlyweds will reside in Aurora. Nelda Sorensen celebrates 90th Birthday Nelda Sorensen of Salina celebrated her 90 birthday March is as beautiful as ever. Her sweetheart Marlin passed Nov 8, 2003. Thy had a very happy 72 years of marriage. She has four children, Marlin Jr. (Diane) Sorensen, of Hurricane UT., Gwen (Rae) Noyes of Salina, Jeanette (Lee) Malmgren of Curtis, Burr earn Eagle Rank Gunnison, Barry (Nao) Sorensen of Sunnyvale CA. Happy Birthday Mom, We LOVE YOU!!! Kiley Curtis and Jordan Burr of Troop 648, Aurora First Ward, have received their Eagle Scout Awards. Kiley's Eagle project was putting five benches in the Aurora Cemetery. Each bench has a plaque on it to honor those men and women that have served in the military from Aurora. Kiley is the son of Richard and Amber Curtis and the grandson of Sid and Gwen Curtis all of Aurora, and the late Leo and Erma Crane of Farewell Salina. Elder Craig Brown Jordan's Eagle project was cleaning up and old dumping ground in the hills west of Aurora. Jordan is the son of Kerry and Sheri Burr of Aurora and the grandson of Lyal and Wana Lu Burr of Nauvoo, IL, and Dennis and Kara Lynne Allan of Cedar City, Ut. Justin Johnson awarded Eagle Elder Craig William Brown has been called to serve in the Washington, Spokane Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He will be speaking in the Axtell Ward on March 7, 2004 at 9:00 a.m.. Craig enters the MTC on March 24, 2004. He is the son of Sam and Virginia Brown of Justin Gordon Johnson from the Salina Fourth Ward Troop 634 received his Eagle Rank Advancement February 3, 2004. He would like to thank the Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters and all those who helped him achieve his Eagle Axtell. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her grandchildren. They made "her eyes sparkle". She loved serving her family, friends and the Lord. Bringing joy to everyone she met, always greeting them with hugs and kisses; if you've ever met Maxine, she was your best friend. Survived by husband, Dan; children, Debra (Charles) VanGorder, Kevin (Lori) Nielson, Rachelle (Erick) Thompson, Brent (Mandy) Nielson; 15 grandchildren; sister, Karen Morrison; brothers, John (Erolyn) Albrecht; Rusty (Anna) Albrecht. Preceded in death by parents and one precious grandson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4th, 11 00 a m. at the Riverview Ward, 1325 West 5550 South. He was the first Drivers Education Teacher in Garfield County. He taught world history, was the year book advisor and was librarian at Panguitch High School for 30 years and was loved by many students. He was a professional horseman and loved prospecting and the outdoors. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and they loved him. He is survived by his wife, LaVenda; sons, Gaylen'Reid (Camille) Moore and Kevin Dewey (DeAnna) Moore all of Panguitch; daughter Cynthia Ann (Kevin) brothers dren, one and sisters: Billy (Anita) Moore Webb of Price, Colleen (Gary) Orton d; Grandparents are Jerold and of Salina. His Billie Lou Johnson of Aurora, and the late Paul and Gay Ivie Temple. Kirk was an active member of the LDS Church, where he has served in many capacities and at the time of his death was a High Priest in the Panguitch 1st Ward. He was called to serve a mission in the Eastern States but was released to return Bangerter of Morgan; 15 grandchil- Rank. His Eagle project was to clean and paint the basement of the American Legion Hall to make storage for the N.S. Recreation and also the Salina City Youth Council. His parents are Gordon and Angela Johnson of Salina. His of Panguitch, Eligah D. (Cindy) Moore of Searsport, ME, Ward L. (LaRae) Moore of Kanab, Wm. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Kirk Moore; brothers, Harold, Kerry, Harvey, and Keith Moore. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at 1 00 p m. in the Panguitch LDS Stake Center, 550 South 100 West. Friends may call at the Stake Center in Panguitch on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10:30 a m. to 12.30 p.m. Burial will be in the Panguitch Cemetery with Military rites by the Panguitch American Legion Post 25. Funeral services were held Monday, March 1, 2004 in the Salina 3rd LDS Ward Chapel Burial was in the Salma Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salma and Gunnison, Utah. We would like to extend a special thanks to Rosalie and Max Curtis in Monroe, for tine loving care and they have given our dear, sweet mother for the past 2 Vi years. Panguitch, Utah Kirk Quilter Moore, 72, passed away February 28, 2004 at his home in Panguitch. He was born May 1, 1931 in Henrieville, Utah to George Dewey and Eliza Ann Moxon Moore. He married LaVenda Reid on September 25, 1951 in the St. George LDS She is a very classy lady. She Rev. Don E. Carter Robert "Bob" Martin, Linda and Tim Tolman, all of Fallon, Ne ada; 11 grandchildren; 9 Kirk Q. Moore 2, 2004. 75 Thelda and Kirk had lived in Sparks, Nevada for 33 years, where Kirk was a custom home builder and a home appraiser and Thelda was a hair dresser and owned and operator her own beauty shop for 25 years. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in all the auxiliaries, especially in the Primary and the Young Women's Program. Mom and Dad served a Temple Mission to the Manti Temple for 9 years. They had lived in Salma, Utah since 1985, where they had made many, lasting friendships. Mom was a gifted artist and loved to oil paint. She enjoyed working in her yards, "The arms that are holdmg you now., are the arms that will never let you go. "Out Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Special Friend entered in heaven on February 25, 2004 She was surrounded by her loving family members at the time of her death. She joins her sister Shirley in heaven for a joyous reunion. God presented Rex and Kay Willden with this beautiful daughter on March 30,1962. Joyce was a free spirit that shared her love and generosity with everyone. The greatest joy in her life were her two children. Joyce loved the mountains, camping, fishing, animals and running around barefoot. Joyce is survived by her loving parents, Rex and Kay (Stella) Willden; two beautiful children, Carmela and Bryant; and her soul mate, Bryant Watson. She is also survived by her siblings, Shanna (Rick) Jardine; Kathy (Ray) Morgan; Karma (Dave) Adamson; Cindy Hatfield; Bruce Willden; Peggy (Tobey) Cummings; LeapBirthday Look who celebrates his first birthday on February 29. 2004. Dalton Broderick finally got to have an official birthday party with friends at McDonald's in Ephraim. He looks good for his age! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DALTON! Dalton is the son of Vernon and Jennifer Broderick of and many nieces and nephews. The family and friends celebrated Joyce's life on March 1, 2004. Joyce was laid to rest in the Mayfield Cemetery in Mayfield, Utah.
