He died October 14, 1998 in Gunnison, Utah due to complications of a heart attack. He married Beth L. Anderson December 28. 1955 in Nevada, later solemn produc- sick-tak- -- nized in the Manti LDS Temple December 18, 1963. He has been active in the community, he worked a sawmill forGlen Petty, drove truck for many different companies and worked for Cox Rock until his retirement. He served in the Korean War, was Commander of American Legion Post 104, active in the LDS Church and was 1 Priest Group Leader at the time the High ever-runn- of his death. He is survived by his wife, Beth, of Gunnison, four sons and three daughters: Dennis Jack of Gunnison; Lee Nels (Jan) of Akron, Ohio; James Robert (Shclli) of South Jordan; Paul Ray (Candy) of Centcrfield; Mary Ann (Bruce) Robison of Fillmore; Diane Cox of Gunnison; Fay Lynn (Kenneth) Barker of Salina; daughter-in- Nickie (Stanley) Antrim Christiansen of Maricopa, Arizona; 15 -law and grandchildren, six one brother, Chris Christiansen of Long Beach, California. There have been a lot of deer hunt- out and about, but I havent heard 7. re-e- rs of many lucky hunters. But, then, we wonder what is considered lucky. The weather didnt look very favorable for the hunters, but in our area, Saturday and Sunday turned out to be nice weather. The Gunnison Elementary School has been busy with field trips. Valerie Willden has been named to Who Among American High School Students forthe 998-9- 9 school year. She is a junior at North Sevier High School and is involved in FBLA, Girl Scouts. Valerie has good grades and works at Burger King. Her parents are David and DeeAnna Willden. She has two sisters. Heather and JoAnna, and her brother is in Japan on an LDS m ission. Her grandparents are Bill and Georgia Silvera of Carson City, Nevada, El Roy and Less Mason of Cedar City, and Keith and Melba Willden. Whos Randy and Tracie Mellor and family, along with Uncle Mike Mellor and the cousins, went deer hunting up Mellor Canyon. Jake got his first deer with a good shot--a- n exciting event for Jake. Jared Sorensen, son of Kim and LuAnn, came home for the weekend from Snow College. Chris Westra, Casandra and three sons visited Casandras father, George Mueller in Paragonah. They then traveled to Cedar Breaks for a picnic and 1 hiking. Bonnie Keeles sons Shyler and Chester, and daughter Mysti came down to Fayette to exchange some hugs and happy talk with their mother.
