Each of their three children, Arlou, Kaye and Karen, spoke of memories of growing up with these wonderful and special people. There were several great musical numbers as well. The menu included roast beef with potatoes and gravy, homemade rolls, mixed vegetables, cole slaw, fruit salad and all the pie you could eat for dessert (and then some). There was a short break before the afternoon program, and the Country Cruizers car club with Ron Crane and his old restored tractor, graciously set up some of its best older cars for the party goers to see. It really added a lot to the whole day. The afternoon program began a bit later, and it included events like a hula a jithoop contest, terbug contest, the doggers and their performance routine, many great singers, some readings, a special skit and comedy fiddle act and all of the popcorn, root beer, and barley beer that anyone wanted. Supper was served around 6 p.m. to 140 people, and it consisted of roast beef sandwiches, fruit, homemade ice cream and you guessed it - - all the pies you could eat. The finale was a dance featuring All That Jazz. It was a great day, and all who attended and got into the spirit of the era really had a great time.
