Douglas was hunting with Max Often of Sterling, when Maxs dogs treed a lion up 6 Mile Canyon. Douglas shot the lion with a 22 rifle. The cat measured just under 7 feet long. The Sam and Virginia Brown family of Axtell was awarded the Family of the Year award. Audrey Boore was awarded the Clover Club OutstandingNew Leader award. The boys raced their Pinewood Derby cars. Kade Despain and Benjamin Boore had a good time racing their cars. Benjamin placed 2nd in the Wolf pack. Attending with the boys were family members, Kevin Despain and Mathew Humphrey and Dustin Fagan on making the GVHS honor roll.
