Friday, January 28, was nursery rhyme day in the Kindergarten. The morning and afternoon kindergartens both performed programs for their parents. The students dressed up as their favorite nursery rhyme character and recited that rhyme. It was cute to see all of the nursery rhyme characters come to life in the Salina Elementary. Thanks to Mrs. Gladwell and Mrs. Lindsay who "dressed up as their favorite, Mother Goose for a job well done. Monday, January 31, was our school mascot, X-seventh birthday party program for the whole & by Lily Eskelsen, president Utah Education' Association school. Mr. Warren read the story of how X-- L was first delivered to Salina Elementary. Mike Robinson, and Mrs. Kiesel were the doctor and the nurse who delivered him seven years ago. Mike Robinson is a retired principal from Salina Elementary. He and Mrs. Kiesel unveiled the new XL complete with lights and a new covering. Special thanks to Mr. C. and Mrs. Kiesel who helped remodel our new XL. We sang Happy Birthday to XL. We sang the school song, Aim for a star and had birthday cake to cap off the event. j, Whose fault is that my son tailgates?
