McDowell Editor and Business Manager MARRIAGE ANNOUNCED The marriage of Miss May Von Harold G. Nielsen and Major Woolf has been announced by her parents, Mir. and Mrs. Jos. F. Nielsen of Hyrum. Major Woolf is the son of Mr. and Mrs George Woo f of Chicago, Illinois. In a candlelight the setting, double ring ceremony was per formed on Friday evening, January 4, at the LDS Institute at Logan with President Edwin Claw son officiating. The beautiful bride was charming in a gown of ivory satin entrain with a fingertip net veil. Her bouquet was of pink rose buds and white carnations centered with an orchid. Miss Elizabeth Blair and Miss Jean Chandler of Ogden were the bridesmaids and wore gowns of pink and blue crepe. They rarried old fashioned bouquets of paste! colors. Reece Nielsen, brother of the bride, was best man. Following the ceremony a reception was given with the receiving line by the fireplace. The serving tab e was centered with a four tiered cake topped with a miniature, bride and groom and was presided over by Miss La Ree Lyon and Mis. Joyce Lower, sisters of the brjde. Mrs. Kay Miller was in charge of the gift room assisted by Leila Albretsen and Gloy Allen. Mis. Nedra Thunnell the registered guests. Mrs. Frances Gooley. He received the Bronze Star Medal while stationed in New Guinea. He has attended the Northwestern University, the American Institute of Banking in Chicago and took advanced studies at the Harvard School of Business Administration. Before induction he was employed as a tax ana'yst for the Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago. the Following the reception young couple left for a honeymoon trip to Salt Lake City. They returned on Tuesday morning and attended the wedding of Miss Elizabeth Blair of Ogden where May Von was a bridinaid. They will make their home in Chicago.
