Show IDAHO WEATHER REPORT idaho falls idaho june 21 1898 the week ending monday june 20 1898 opened with scattered thunder storms and occasional hall hail or rain followed after a day or two by more set tied conditions and exceedingly warm weather which continued through the remainder of the period though there was an absence af high winds until very late in the week evaporation proceeded on account oi of an abundance of hot sunshine and generally wherever possible irrigation 1 is in progress the warm weather w waa much needed and its effect is already seen in the rapid growth of all vegetation grain crops have made raar marked kec advancement in the northern an western sections many wheat fields am heading and in the eastern the crop is ra rapidly pi dl y ap approaching proa chi n X that stage in ilk various parts of the state has beer cut with good results gardens axe doing well though some complain ain or of f lack of moisture potatoes are gen orally up and looking satisfactory j the outlook for fruit especially the smaller varieties is very promising a few correspondents however report J more or less damage from insects i haying has begun in parts of the west 4 ern era section and the others will soon solm 1 follow reports as to probable yields are uniformly encouraging the banim is excellent and stock is doing well D P mccallum CALLUM Mo section director |
