| Show OBITUARY NOTES GEORGE A WADSWORTH panaca nev jan 21 1898 there departed this life on jan at panaca one of gods god 8 noblemen george A wadsworth was born at pilley green yorkshire england march 26 25 1827 was baptized into the church of jesus christ of latter day saints march 9 1852 he emigrated to america and settled in iowa in july 1856 assisted in emigration agrati on work and crossed the plains arriving in salt lake city on the 3rd ard of october 1857 moved to toquerville sapt from there he moved to panaca nev dec 17 1867 where he has lived ever since until his death he was chosen counselor to bishop luke syphus in 1875 and continued to serve as counselor to bishop M L lee he was a great sufferer having been ill for several years prior to his death but he died firm in the faith and looking tor for his reward among the faithful he leaves a wife and eight children forty three grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn his loss lose the funeral services were held in the meeting house on the dinst and the remains were followed to the cemetery by most of the people of panaca GEO K RIDING GRANDISON RAYMOND on thursday evening february 10 elder grandison raymond who was one of pioneers departed from this state of probation after a long and well spent life he was a man of a vigorous sturdy type fitted by nature for the sphere in which he moved a natural pioneer a good citizen and a man who praised god in adversity as well as in prosperity ats W I 1 life was an active one and he and hl his worthy wife who survives him haak passed uncomplainingly through DOT erty privations and afflictions 4 their forty eight years of me membership be in the church and have bretal retal ed ou unshaken faith grandison raymond was born bom tt may 25 1818 in liberty sullivan c coue ty Z y Y he married cella celia ha hall I 1 ASs 12 1849 and almost immediately ward they journeyed to st louis fm the purpose of investigating the dru chiples of the gospel of christ ws they had heard preached by so some e ts eling elders the next year 1 81 50 S were baptized by charles raymond raymo a brother of the deceased in the mi misac river in 1851 after having been bained an elder brother performed a mission to new TO he came to salt lake in 1852 an and 1 1853 moved to bountiful from att W 44 P place lace he went back with provisions 46 meet emigrants on the plains he it in the echo canyon campaign i johnstons army was en route to t and was also in the move south following spring in 1855 1865 he arnov Kay oville and in 1875 1876 he with 1 groo and samuel richards estabill established the first ranches in the thomas ss valley idaho where some borne of hla his dren still reside wf brother raymond was afflicted i blindness during the last four ye doai e his life but this trial and affliction on do borne by him with characteristic ft tude and never once was he he hearal complain f his funeral was held on moi feb 14 and was largely atten attended friends who had learned to respect for his steadfastness and integrity principles of righteousness F i HENRY H Kays kaysville ville feb 15 16 1898 api W |
