Show OBITUARY NOTES EDNA M REYNOLDS died at south cottonwood march 28 1896 edna M reynolds daughter of hosea and mary merrill and wife of warren F reynolds whom she married jan 3 1846 arthe in the state of michigan and immediately moved to nauvoo when she and her husband were baptized in the mississippi river april 15 by elder murryne Sur ryne she endured the hardships and trials in common with the saints at their exodus they reached salt lake sept bolh and located in south cottonwood where she resided until her death she was the mother of ten children si six X of whom survive she leaves a husband one son and five daughters nineteen grandchildren and one great grandson to mourn her los sister reynolds had many friends and no enemies she was a consistent latter day saint a true wife and noble mother ever ready to succor the needy and cheer those that were gloomy or downcast her faith in the gospel was unswerving and her reward is that thai of the just SAMUEL BRINTON ELIZA ROSE mrs eliza rose deceased was born in erdine bodnum worcestershire england in 1827 married alfred rose december 1815 site she was molher ot of nine children tour four of whom survive her she emigrated to 10 utah IT tab in 1881 married john rose roae ot of mill creek in 1883 she joined the church in 1850 and remained a faithful latter day saint to the end the bamily wish to extend through the columns of your valuable paper a word ot of thanks and their heartfelt gratitude aorl for the many favors and kin kindnesses kinden desses ses received in the burial of their dear mother on march 23 1896 1996 from the seventh ward meeting house to bishop thorne daniel hill and joseph E taylor for their consoling words and kind advice to the family to the choir for such excellent music to the pall bearers for their kindly assistance to the ladles ladies of the relief society and young ladies of the ward for their loving sympathy and help and to the members of the ward THE FAMILY ISABELLA WELLS DAVIS VERNAL utah march 25 1896 isabella wells wella davis wife of nathan 0 davis and daughter of george and rebecca wells well was born at bolton now new york february 12 1823 and died at vernal utah february 1 1896 she f was married in her eighteenth year and was the mother of five children to whom have been born thirty seven grandchildren with her husband L he she s was among the first settlers of nauvoo thence moving to salt lake valley in 1860 thence to bear lake valley in june 1864 she moved to ashley valley in 1880 and died in the seventy third year ot of her age having been the wife of her husband fifty six years she is mourned as a a mother in israel by bv those who are themselves mothers in israel irael and by the venerable parmer ot of her toys land and sorrows through life A subscriber ANNA T MAESER anna T therese wife of Prof eBor sor karl G maeser mae ser aged aed 66 years died at B street this morning at 7 words fall fail we me in the endeavor to portray the true norih of our bister iftode if to be a wife whose love and devotion to her husband exceeds all expression then I 1 iter ister maeser wax was that wife it if to be a mother whose love for her children ofa came all obstacles whose thought though ot self was lost loat in this one great love 3 our sister was this maiher we all loftsg 3 herfor her lor her sterling qualities dualities and JC i place will be vacant and she missed taws I 1 our family circle her death was late adb ticul a peaceful slumber stealing owa her between the hours of 3 and 6 4 a basy from which she never awakened C I 1 KIRD CHARLES WILKINS there died at south march 1896 charles wilkins Wil kina who w was as born at hucklebury bucklebury Buckl Backle ebury bury berkshire Engl england englard abd on Dec emDer emter 1827 nd Ad baptized into the church of jesus cht of lauer day saints on september abd 1849 bv elder joseph kimber in IB the ac year 1850 he married elizabeth doua water waier by whom he had one childs child a daughter he emigrated to utah inthe year 1850 stopping over in the four years his hi 8 wife dying on the elal blaim atter alter arriving in utah he lived in box elder county until the year of the moe when he married ury welch by whom etona he had fifteen children thirteen of whom a are re now living she died january 1892 on november be rosy max ried harriet barrow cox he had been sexton of the south cottonwood cemetery from the time of its being surveyed and laid out for that purpose there has haa been interred in said cemetery about 1050 persons for 1000 of whom he has dog the graves and closed them up hew he wa a peaceable unassuming honest man and passed away leaving a host hosi of friends and relatives to mourn his bis loss lose millennial star please copy |
