| Show OBITUARY NOTES MARY HALL died at Enterprise Morgan boutah Co Utah july ath 1897 mary hall wife of bishop J K hall deceased was born feb 1826 in the town of sheffield england and was the daughter of john and mary blary spencer the family basof high social standing her father being an extensive manufacturer of steel files and cutlery was one of the past master cutlers butlers of the honorable and ancient company of butlers cutlers Cut lers deceased was brought up a wesleyan Wes leyah methodist she first heard the gospel as taught by the latter day saints through a domestic servant in her fathers household and embraced it in the year 1848 much to the displeasure of the family she however remained firm flam to her convictions she was married to J K hall christmas day 1849 and four daughters were born boin to her in england one dying in infancy she emigrated to utah with her husband and three children in the year 1863 arriving at salt lake city oct 13 the same year the journey taking eighteen weeks to accomplish the family resided in the fifteenth ward for elven years and in the fall of 1874 removed to enterprise morgan co deceased had one son and one daughter born to her in Salt Lake ake city she filled the position of president of the enterprise ladies relief society for a period extending over fifteen years during which she gained the love and esteem of her sisters both told old and young arid and died a I 1 ter day saint leaving a husband one I 1 son three daughters and five grand I 1 children to mourn her departure one married daughter having died in enterprise ter prise thirteen years ago her re mains now lie sleeping in the rural at enterprise await ing the resurrection of the just 1 4 A A large number of people followed the remains to the cemetery and alte young ladies walked in pairs carr carrying flowers which they laid upon the w casket and the grave the funeral services were very impressive elders elden francis stuart croft heiner and ete ven spoke words of sympathy anscom fort to the bereaved and mour nine family who now realize that onet anels is taken from them for a while who was a loving faithful wife a kind and 17 af mother and a true friend to alt all I 1 millennial star and utah papers paper please copy sj i ROSA HALE 4 1 gentile valley aug 15 1897 1 dm a few lines to inform you of the deafy 1 4 I of our loving sister rosa daughter tit 0 A alma H and ellen clark hale emm residents of grantsville Grants ville tooele thoele decea deceased sed rosa was born at graw Q lafita t vile dec 28 1876 and resided cherek first ten years of her life when as moved with the family to gentile ley she was ever faithful in au all labors until the last two years d da which time her health has been i while she did not murmur of weak condition we believe she and every care was given on sunday the ath she came ove my place to visit a week on morning of the she arose and pared for breakfast but not well she went back and lay jay do dow a few hours she became unco buncom and lay as though she was sl until the next mornin morning mornings gg at five mi to seven when she breathed her funereal Funer tal services were held sul I 1 morning at lO 10 nearly aff people of the valley assembled to t the last tribute of respect elde F cowley and S H hale were main speakers EARNEST P haita tooele thoele transcript morgan ga g a mirror and logan journal copy f |
