Hats will . i be of an off-thc-fa- cc out-of-pock- tit et - Top fashion designers say their prices will not go up in the fall. In fact, they're supposed to be specialists at cutting. Mother Nature dealt fishermen a body blow in north central Utah when the recent cloudburst played havoc with many trout streams in the area of the storm. J. R. Murdock, superintendent of the Morgan Hatchery, assisted by other Department personnel, has completed a survey of the streams affected. It appears that Hardscrabble Creek is totally lost to fishing for at least a two-yeperiod. The upthis stream of had been per portion closed to fishing for the past three seasons. It had been heavily stocked during this period. All of these fish were lost. The stream bed and its plant life took a severe beating as well. The whole Weber River drainage Other suffered to some extent. hard hit tributary streams included Lost Creek, Echo Creek, East Canyon and Chalk Creeks. It is anticipated that fishing on the Weber River itself will be slowed up for several days because of the heavy inflow of silt and debris from these feeder streams. ar Department spokesmen are once again urging sportsmen of the State to avail themselves of copies of all proclamations as they are published. Each year the Department extends its efforts to keep sportsmen informed of any changes in fish and game laws, opening and closing dates of seasons, etc. As required by law, proclamations covering all fishing and hunting seasons are published in two newspapers of general and Statewide circulation. Every effort is made to issue these proclamations in clear, easily read language. Special regulations, changes, restrictions and limitations are listed in these proclamations. In the interest of a better informed public, the Department then has printed several thousand copies of each proclamation issued. These are available to sportsmen and organized groups through their license vendors, or at the Departments offices, 1590 West North Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. Those interested in the saving of the sportsmens dollars would do well to cut each proclamation from their newspaper as they are issued. In any case the Department again urges all sportsmen to avail themselves of the proclamations to preclude misunderstandings through not knowing of the continued changes in dates, rules, etc., that are necessary to efficient conservation practices.
