The three couples traveled to St. George on Friday to attend faculty meetings for First Aid Class To Be Taught Pat Kay, safety programs instructor for the Golden Spike Division of the American Red Cross, will be at Snow College the week of March 6 to qualify instructors in various safety procedures and techniques. He will have time in the afternoons and evenings to teach a class in Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation. Anyone who is interested should contact Phil Murray at Snow College or Darlene Anderson in Ephraim. Those people taking these classes will receive the appropriate Red Cross cards. Mr. Kay is being brought here at the request of the local Sanpete County Chapter of the American Red Cross. they toured several historic sites among them was Brigham Youngs home. By bus Mrs. Janice Mivatake and Mrs. Kenneth Hansen and two children, Salt Lake City, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jannice Nielson last week. He became very ill after eating some sandwiches left from his parents trip to Zions. He will probably return home on Tuesday if he is sufficiently recovered. Harold Brown, SCS Area Conservationist, said that the Manti Field Office had the largest work load of any field office in the state of Utah and this work was completed with only a minimum of outside help. Technical assistance went to 46 group and 44 individual projects.
