Show Ladies Bowling Association Messenger - Enterprise, Thursday, December 14, 1978 O Holds Annual Tournament The Sanpete County Ladies Bowling Association held their annual tournament on Nov. 18, 19 and 20 with the highest participation ever record ed. Ten teams of five ladies each, and 30 ladies in the singles and doubles events participated. Events Scratch section, with second place going to Renon Daniels and third to Gloria Johnson. Matches start at -- 2-- annual Scouter 9, 10. Recognition Dinner for the Sanpete Scout District will be held on Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Snow College Cafeteria. The dinner is held for the purpose of recognizing men and women of Sanpete County who make significant contributions to youth through the Scouting program, according to Scott Johnson, district scout executive. The featured speaker for this years dinner will be Ross Taylor, director of the Mountain West Area, Boy Scouts of America, and former director of Mormon Relationships. A highlight of the dinner will be the awarding of two District Awards of Merit, four Second Miler Awards and other adult Scouter recognitions. Those interested in making nominations for these awards can get applications from the following district committee members: Dr. Royal Bagley, Moroni; Dr. Dail Averett, Mt. Pleasant; Ross Findlay, Ephraim; Dan Nance, Manti, and Arlo Jensen, Gunnison.
