Show PERRY perry marth SO 30 last wednesday evening as joseph young stepped from the school wagon his foot turned under him sp raining his ankle lie he is getting along all right now and today returned to school tuesday evening ice had bad frozen over one half inch thick but as there was quite a breeze blowing all night no serious damage was done to tile the fruit last evening nearly all the members of the ward over 18 years of age met at the meeting house the occasion being a social held in honor af the retiring presidency of the relief society A splendid and well arranged program was carried out an interesting te number on the program was the reading of a paper by francessa young showing what changes had been made and how much received and disbursed and for what purpose luring during the time the association has been organized a period of thirty filc years pour four beautiful rocking chairs were then placed in front and in a very neat and fitting speech were presented to rebecca thorn may perry and E B S young the retiring presidency and francessa young the retiring treasurer by annie peters each of the recipients responded quite feelingly and accepted the tokens in the spirit in which they were presented after the program prea S J white announced that everybody was wanted in the basement where tables had been erected and loaded with everything to tempt and satisfy hunger and beautiful lowers flowers to enliven and please the eye ey after this part of the program the benches were moved back and tables t taken aken out and everybody so inclined danced until they were tired A spirit of kindness and sociability seemed to hae full possession from start to finish last sunday at past fast meeting three babies were blessed |
