An interlocal agreement between West Valley City and the Granger-hunte- r Improvement District calls &r the district to widen 3100 South nd install new curbs, gutters and ties, West Valley and the district have agreed to share the cost of replacing the entire width of the pavement, instead of just covering the replaced utility lines. This would widen the street throughout the length of the project, it was explained. West Valley City agrees to con- - 48-in- ch 24-inc- 15 tract for the entire project, and oversee construction of the project. Granger-Hunte- r Improvement District will reimburse West Valley City for its proportionate share of the costs. It is projected that Granger-Hunter- s share of the project will be approximately 63 percent of the total anticipated cost of $15 million, according to the Interlocal Agreement. Russell Willardson, WVC Public Works Department director, said additional personnel and equipment have been included in the . Engineering proposed 1998-9- 9 Division budget in order to provide for the construction-management project. He noted that these additional costs will be covered by revenue received from the improvement district. The Interlocal Agreement also stipulates that Granger-Hunte- r Improvement District will approve and pay construction invoices (from West Valley City) within 20 days.
