Joining the mayor for the Jan. 17 event were City Council members Janice Auger, James Dunnigan, Bruce Wasden; County Commissioner Brent Overson; and the residents of the Golden Living Center. Jill Ellis, executive director of the Valley West Chamber of Commerce, presided. Administrator Carol Tinkham spoke of the history of Golden Living and the total renovation and redecorating that were recently completed at the center. Mayor Prince expressed ap- preciation to the staff of Golden Living for the important role that they play in the lives of so many seniors. He commented on the smiles of contentment on the residents faces and the beautiful, spacious areas that Golden Living provided for the residents comf ort and convemence. Salt Lake County Commissioner Brent Overson said that he knew first hand of the quality residential living with supportive care provided to the residents because his grandmother, Ila Overson, is currently a resident at Golden Living.
