GLADE BALDWIN Community We are undertaking a project to raise a memorial to all service personnel from the Magna-Garfiearea who were killed in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Our goal is to have this memorial dedicated on the 4th of July, 1994 at 8 a.m. The proposed site for the memorial is the northeast corner of 8400 West and 2700 South in Magna. This an eighth of an'acre site is owned by the Utah of Department Transportation, and is leased to the Magna Community Council. We have received permission to erect the memorial on the site. A trust fund has been set up in the name of Memorial Trust Fund at Cyprus Credit Union. We sincerely ask for your help in making this memorial a reality. Joining the JTG are 2,000 Marines from the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit from North Carolina. Fords squadron flies the FA-1- 8 Hornet, an aircraft configured to perform either attack or fighter roles. Designed to operate overseas and to respond swiftly, the Navy and Marine Corps team is capable of a full range of action from humanitarian relief to major offensive operations, from the sea. He joined the Marine Corps in January 1993. training the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force. Gark is the daughter of Larry E. Gark and Shauna Willardson of Magna. She is a 1993 graduate of Cyprus High School. Willard J. Watson Marine Cpl. Willard J. Watson, son of Francis W. and Jo Ann Watson of Kearns, was recently promoted to his present rank while serving with 9th Communications Battalion, 1st Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Intelligence Group, Camp Pendleton, California. Marine Cpl. Tom S. Tolo, son of Peter I. and Sarote R. Tolo of Kearns, recently received a Letter of Appreciation. Tolo was cited for superior performance of duty while assigned with Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station, Camp. Pendleton, California. He consistently performed his demanding duties in an exemplary and highly professional manner. He joined the Marine Corps in April 1991. The group nearly doubled its size during 1993 and expects to end the first quarter with more than 700 pharmacies in 12 Western states.
