Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lewis Fish of Toquerville, Utah, and maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Alma Richie of Wisner, La. the group went to Disneyland, San Diego Zoo, Tijuana and enjoyed a picnic on the beach with relatives. Whittier School's Spring Festival, "This Land is Our Land," presented by the fifth and sixth grade classes Friday, proved a wonderful success. The music was directed by Mr. Edgar Alder, assisted by other fifth and sixth grade teachers. The program described through song and dance music that came from the activities of New Counselor Mr. Keith Brady has been sustained as the second counselor in the Hunter Tenth Ward bishopric, replacing Mr. Robert who is moving with his Sid-dowa- y, family to Seattle this summer. Viva Smith has returned home after spending five days in a hospital undergoing tests. Mrs. Smith will go back to the hospital in several weeks to have Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Witbeck and children, Kim, Roger and Nancy; Mrs. Dennis Witbeck, Mr. Larry Witbeck and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Witbeck attended major surgery. the Manti (LDS) Temple wedding of a relative, Mr. Douglas Ludvigson of Sterling, Utah, on April 25. His bride is the former Miss Cozette Denton. The bridegroom returned a short time ago from a west Canadian mission for the LDS Church. Sunday School students in Course 14, under the leadership of Dorothy Beutler, held a fireside at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ab Beutler on Sunday. Salt Lake County Deputy Sheriff Parley Blight was the guest speaker and talked on Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother. HUNTER 7TH WARD served. Hilda Marshall and Treva Jeffers attended a fashion show and luncheon at the West Jordan Relief Society Wednesday. Clothes that were modeled were the results of a class in sewing TRACK COMPETITION Hunter Seventh Ward will hold a Boy Scout track meet May 10th at the Westlake Junior High School. Hamburgers with trimmings will be served at the event. A Hunter Stake track meet is slated later in the month and ward winners will participate. The champs of this group are to enter the Region Track Meet and medals presented to winners. Dances were intermingled with the songs, the students following to original dance steps designed by Jody David and Candace Crane, two Whittier School students. Various countries were represented in the dances Russia, the west and Hawaii. Lori Doxey was the piano accompanist. Others included Dale Hughes, Kathy Howell, Luann Barker, Sandra Walker, Debra Gordon. The band was in charge of Ray Crawford and the orchestra directed by Mrs. Barbara Jeanine Day is president and counselors are Sydney Black and Dian Leth. Helen Witbeck is the secretary. Choristers are Maurietta Meyer and Holley Siddoway and organists are Judy Walk and Jolene Witbeck. o School. He was a coach at Cyprus Junior High School for twelve years, assistant coach at Cyprus High, one of them in 1944 when the Pirates took state in football. Mr. Thornock has also taught agriculture at Cyprus, industrial arts, physical education, math and served as an director. They have two children, Mrs. LaFay Murray of Granger, Utah, who is completing her degree at the University of Utah next year, and a son, Warren, who is teaching foreign languages at the Elk Grove High School, Elk Grove, Calif. He will 16, 1931. al finish his masters degree next year. THIRD SON Mr. and Mrs. David Argyle are happy over the arrival of their third son on Wednesday at the Cottonwood Hospital. The baby weighed in at 8 pounds, 4 ounces and joins brothers, Jeffrey and Scott. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. David L. Argyle of Bountiful and maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith of Hunter. Miss Amy Nielson was honored at a bridal shower on April 26 at the home of Mrs. Arvle Nielson. Cohostesses were Lark Nielson and Miriam and Edith Farnsworth. Twenty-fiv- e guests enjoyed various games and prizes were given. He was presented with a plaque on behalf of all teachers with whom he had worked. Tributes were given by Paul Murdock, representing the retired teachers, who were associated with Mr. Pack, and Jay Hennefer, representing present teachers. Airman M. S.
