| Show pennsylvania conference BURNER W Vs va june knowing that the elders that have returned home from the pennsylvania conference would like to hear irom from their old fields of labor and believing that all the readers of the NEWS would be interested in our labors since our last conference I 1 thought I 1 would write you a short sketch ot of the she labors of each pair of elders brothers wilkins and durfee labor ing in preston county have met with some opposition ioD but have been enabled to valiantly defend the principles of the gospel they have hold held thirty one meetings and opened up quite a now new field in the vicinity of terra alta brothers bachman and perks parks laboring in lewis and gilmore counties have hold held thirty two meetings gp have met with a good deal of opposition but have not suffered for the necessities of life brothers roeder boeder and morris labor ine in allegheny alleghany Alleg hany bany county maryland have hold held seven meeting gr all in private houses have baptized mack robinett and wife and john morris and wife and blessed five children they also report four more app applications iloa for baptism brothers roundy and balls laboring in tucker and barbour counties have held nine meetings and report one baptism a mr wm H evans brothers ricks and matson have only labored together isfort a short time they are at present in braxton county and have held seven meetings and received good treatment brothers critchlow and wright laboring in butler county pa have hold held eight meetings I 1 have visited all the baines in wetzel county and have held eight meetings among them I 1 have also visited the coal valley branch in pennsylvania and the rest of the saints along the monongahela Monon gabela river and encouraged them in the good work I 1 also aleo visited butler county pa and while there brothers critchlow wright and myself hold held six meetings and made some warm friends I 1 am at present assisting brothers wilkins and durfee in holding a few meetings and will go from here to maryland and hold a few meet lugs with elders reeder boeder and morris and the saints in that vicinity tho the health of the elders is very good d with the exception of wilkins and wright the former is troubled with indigestion and the latter with rheumatism in the shoulders the work of the lord la is pro progressing graming and we all feel encouraged ever praying for the welfare of zion I 1 remain respectfully WM WH J president pennsylvania conference |
