Show home again this afternoon atter we met elder david collins of 0 monroe fc evler county who returned last evening a mission to the northwestern states he was ivas accompanied on the trip to tn utah by mr Josep josepaus bus cronkhite of kansas who is looking over this part of toe the country with a view to beco mias a permanent resident elder colllns collins left left on his hia mission zil siston may ad and re arted to the headquarters of the northwestern aborted Porth western states mission at council bluffs from there he was sent on to wisconsin but bat shortly after was assigned to the iowa conference he next labored in kansas going there in september 1887 he was a companion of elder it T booth who was taken ill and died there his traveling companions subsequent to elder booths death were elder eider chris tt ansen of sanpete county and elder C H grace of of nepal elder collins remained in kansas until his release to come home he found there many good friends leads fi but there is a great areat deal of prejudice re judice the lat ter day aay saints owing to the falsehoods that have been spread about them em many threats were made against the elders and d there was some little persecution experienced by them elder collins enjoyed good health during his absence from utah he starts for or sevier county tomorrow |
