There just wasn't a lot of time to move furniture or consider extensive renovations of space beyond catching the opportunity to patch and paint some areas while they were vacant. Tebbs said. This really kept the costs to a minimum. Tebbs said that now the President's Office and Vice President of University relations are now on the third floor of Old Main, providing better utilization of the space and connection with the Development Office. Student Body President TJ Nelson said he is also happy with where the SUUSA offices have been moved. The new location will be more student friendly, Nelson said. He hopes more students will feel more comfortable coming into the SUUSA offices with this new location, as well as meeting other students there. He said the new location is very central, right next to the living room, where many students pass by during theii daily routine. Students are going to love it! Nelson said. If nothing else, it will prevent students from having to walk up and down the Student Center when they shouldn't have to. Tebbs said the main reason for these campus moves was to make better use of space across campus, and to create a better physical alignment supporting both the organization structure and function of departments. |
