Brumer said Groo talked about wanting to join swim team at freshman orientation. When Groo found out there wasnt a team, he and Brumer decided to start the Swim Club. Groo said its his goal to get people together every morning at 6 to swim laps and eventually get enough swimmers to start a swim team. Also a newer club, the Acoustic Instrumental Club started last semester and ended the school year with about 200 members. Club President Nick Hammer said. Hammer said the club's goal was to create an environment where people can learn about basic music. He believes the best way to do this is to learn from someone, share the music and cement the new skill by teaching others yourself.
