Call PAETOS Class offered for women There comes a time in a womans life when she must make crucial decisions about the future, a turning point from which she travels to meet her lifes goals. Turning Point, a class designed to help women overcome barriers to successful employment, starts Tuesday at SUSC. The class continues each Tuesday and Thursday through June 8. The class is open to married and single women who feel a need for increased job skills and to divorced, widowed and single heads of households, said Daphne Dailey, director of SUSCs Turning Point Program and the course instructor. Participants meet from 1 to 4 p.m. in Braithwaite Center 204. Registration, $20, can be completed at the first class meeting or in Braithwaite 203, offices of the Division of Continuing Education. Turning Point topics, Dailey said, range from increased selfesteem and assertiveness training to stress management, job seeking skills and successful career planning. The popular course is for women who are unemployed, underemployed or who dont have the job skills necessary to look for work. It has been designed to help them make important decisions about employment. Attendance and participation are keys to the success of the turning point participants. Women who make the effort will leave class with increased new communication skills and an action plan for their goals, Dailey said.
