Show Lady 'Birds sense playoff fever An The Lady 'Birds defeated the Raiders of Fort Lewis 74-5Monday night in the Centrum. "This was a big win for us in the gunning for the NAIA District Seven Playoffs," said Head Coach Boyd Adams. "Right now we are ranked number one in the district and this won't hurt." With seven straight wins on the court, and two more by forfeit, the are 14-- 7 for the season. Lady They make their final regular season road trip tonight and Tuesday with games at Adams State and Fort Lewis. "If we win one on this trip, and we have our work cut out for us, I'm sure we'll host the district playoffs," said Adams. Adams State has a record, but the Indians have played hot and cold all season. They have beaten some good teams, and that has Assistant Coach Clay Anderson worried. "We simply don't want any of their players to get a hot hand. That seems to inspire the rest of the team, and then they can play very well." Fort Lewis has come on strong late in the season after a slow start. The Lady Raiders were sailing along with a e winning streak until the derailed them with a 74-5- 3 win.
