Coming up Business workshop set A workshop for individuals interested in operating their business will be held own home-base- d Feb. 12 at SUSC. This workshop is sponsored by the Division of Continuing Education and is scheduled for p.m. in Old Administration 204. Marlene Hudman is the workshop instructor. She is the owner and operator of the Office Connection, her non-cred- it 7-- own home-base- d business, and she is a member of the Salt Lake City chapter of the National Alliance of Home-base- d Businesswomen. Hudmans workshop is designed to help participants evaluate their skills, make use of community resources, get ideas for potential home-base- d businesses, and learn about setting up such a business. Additional information about the workshop is available by contacting the SUSC Division of Education, An $18 registration fee will be charged. The fee can be prepaid at the Division of Continuing Education or paid at the workshop itself. 586-785- 3. 7 6 p.m., Art film slated American artist Georgia OKeeffe is the subject of a free art film scheduled to be shown Feb. 21 at SUSC. film will start at 7:30 The p.m. in Old Administration 204 as part of a film series sponsored by Friends of the Gallery. The series will continue Feb. 28 with three short films and end March 21 with The Easter Story in Art. The film on Georgia OKeeffe is especially good, said LaRae Williams, curator of the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery. te Candidates to announce Announcements of candidates for ASSUSC elections will be made Feb. 13 in Thorley Recital Hall at 4 p.m. Candidates for president, vice presidents and senators will give speeches and announce campaign platforms. Refreshments will be served. Brad Bennett, director of student activities, reminds students that they cannot vote in the elections without a student body card which they will need to present at the polls. Also, students who havent declared majors must do so before the elections if they wish to vote for any candidate in the senate. |
