combinations it has been possible to form large aggregations of cal capital pital to perfect the methods of business to extend both the domestic and export trade and to effect important economies of benefit both to the producer and consumer consumer great capital or a large co combination of capital Is not necessarily inimical to the national welfare having no essential relation to monopoly but unfortunately a small proportion of these combinations have developed in to huge monopolies thereby destroying individual initiative enabling command of the men they employ and weakening the mental
