for the temporal good of the community from the abundance of knowledge with which they may maj bo be blessed if so they will when directed do all in their power to protect the general interests of the whole people and will aid in co operative board of trade and united order movements they will use their best ability in seeking remunerative markets for the produce of their brethren and will help to bring to them as cheaply as possible what they have to buy they will aid in organizing and will sustain with their means such home industries as will tend tend to the independence and self sus cenance of the people they will do all they can consistently to prevent the saints irom introducing anor busca sustaining ining among themselves hurtful com competition pett they will recognize and as far as possible become familiar with the law of supply and demand and will aid the central and local boards of trade in keeping the supply offer ed not gr greatly e atly in excess of the demands made they will help to bring the home producer and manufacturer into close business relations with the consumer preventing thereby intermediate parties from er acting exacting margins for transacting bu bubines business bines PInes which with a little 1 forethought and care the people through rhe zhe the boards of trade can do as well for themselves they will do all they can to help the producer fix at least living prices on the fruits of his hia own toil toll they will use chelp influence and labor to prevent their friends from over stocking the market and thereby selling two loaves for less than one cost them they will teach the people that the value of an article should be determined by its cost in labor thus labor and not capital becomes the standard their watchword will be organization having
