Premi presidents dents veto after some boma discussion upon the tho proposition to refer the veto message to thea the judiciary clary ciary com committee mittet or a special cial clai committee with a 9 view to obtaining a report which should alleged incorrect inter pre tation of the purpose and effect of the sixth section of the bill it was decided to bring the measure to direct debate or reference A resolution embodying this conclusion was finally adopted with great unanimity as fol foi lown iown resolved that it is the sense of this caucus that the bill making an appropriation for the tho support of the army irmy should pass notwithstanding the objection of the Preel president dent and that we will proceed to take a vote on it tomorrow to morrow without debate the caucus then considered a 6 question of wider scope and greater importance namely what whal further lurther action should be taken by the democratic party concerning tho the two appropriation bills billi after they both shall have been defeated by the presidential vetoed vetoes thereto ot of the legislative exec exee executive uti ati dindl and j judicial u dacial hill bill with its political sections being of course foreshadowed shadowed fore by ble the present message an animated dis ensued in which randall bandall blackburn cox cos and stephens participated it was finally determined to refer the whole
