| Show SCHOOL met in the board rooms first national dank bank building tuesday feb lith at 1030 a in ill present pres F F 11 Y fishburn vice pres peter al M hanson and D C hubbard mr air hubbard reported visit to dew byville with respect to school land and water right in the hammond canal believed the land would cn en chance in value within the next few years and did not favor selling same learn ed cd from old board of trustees that they biad had pi pr emitted the hammond canal the right of way thru the school property which had consumed approximately six acres and they had an aval understanding with the canal people that they would deliver to the board one acro acre water right for each acre of land furnished for right of way recommended that the matter be taken up with the receiver of tile the canal company and that the land be not sold but leased eased to best advantage report accepted recommend recommendations at ions adopted and mr AIr hubbard authorized to confer with the receiver and to lease the land mr hanson hansen reported tho the school grounds at salt creek to be in very bad shape and needed to be graveled ile he was authorized to have a few loads of gravel hauled upon the grounds also authorized to obtain bids for erecting a substantial fence on two wo sides of the tremont school grounds and submit same to the board tor for consideration carried carried that no general visiting will be allowed to teachers but that special visiting days may be pi pr emitted in certain cases when supt bupt of schools thinks it advisable mr hubbard reported that J al white a teacher in the willard school had made a request to be relieved from his hii contract ar agthe il end e nil of tho the third term carried that mr air whites request be granted providing a suitable teacher can be procured to take his place J B D vance was appointed janitor at union school I 1 I 1 the resignation of cora vicks as ag supervisor of the kelton school was accepted applications of james R kennard and mrs lizzle lizzie J kennard for the positions of teachers in the garland school referred to comm committee on teachers carried that the clerk and superintendent formulate for mulata a letter to our state representative in Cong congress rss asking for an appropriation from tile the government to assist the indian school at washable Washa Wash akle kic recommendation of supt bupt jensen that three pupils be transferred from penrose to thatcher school adopted adjourned to feb at 1030 a in |
