Show TEST EYES ETES AND NO EARS OF ALL UTAH PUPILS the first examination of the pupils of the public schools for eye ear car nose an and d throat diseases will be held dur duri i ing the next two weeks the state stale board of health has received the irin printed blanks and charts which will be filled out by the teachers conducting the tests the initiation of these examinations is believed to bo be original with the utah board and most beneficial results are arc looked for it is believed that the new plan will not only aid ind and correct the physical detects defects of pupils but in many cases will lm prove their mental facilities as well the examinations will be held the first of each year each teacher exam ining the pupils in his room and through the principals the results will be brought to the attention of the parents whose children are found to be in need of medical or surgical attention A card of warning to parents has also been prepared containing the request that the child be attended for the defect found to co exist the board will endeavor to arrange for the free treatment of pupils whose parents are unable tor for the proper handling of the case intermountain republican |
