AI Herrmann Jr. said Thursday authorities had ruled out one theory in the double lulling rf a Utah couple near Idaho Springs Aug. 21. Herrmann an' Lew Hawley, fils chief investigator, spent three days in Salt Lake City and Price, Utah, last week looking into the backgrounds of the man and woman found shot to death in a rented car in Virginia Canyon. The victims were Raymond S. Hanna, 54, of Price, and Mr. Marilyn Ida Brown, 41, of Salt Lake City. Herrmann said the investi gation ruled out the in Utah possibility that someone who knew Hanna or Mrs. Brown had followed them to Denver and on to Idaho Springs to kill them. Now, the district attorney said, his office is pursuing the thought that a psychopathic or person came upon the parked car and killed the couple. Herrmann said nothing could be found in either Hannas or Mrs. Brown's backgrounds to indicate that either had been anything but drug-usin- day earlier. There appeared to be no connection, authorities said. g honest church-goin- Herrmann said his trip to Utah revealed that no cne knew where the couple was Mrs. Brown going.
